Private message stats are currently being misreported in the forums. This is due to the change from the previous Invisionboards and the physical messages not making the transfer well. We are working on integrating those messages into the newer forum format, at which point the counts should correctly reflect the total number of messages you have stored. This does not, in any way affect the functionality of the message system. New messages are still reported correctly as they come in.
